The Plant-Based Protein Cluster (CPV) continues to strengthen its role as a strategic driver in the development of Argentina’s plant-based industry. The organization brings together companies, research institutions, and key stakeholders across the agro-industrial value chain linked to plant-based proteins—such as legumes, soy, peas, and other alternatives—aiming to boost innovation, add value, and expand international market opportunities in a rapidly growing global sector.

In this context, CPV representatives took part in a key meeting during Expoagro Argentina, one of the country’s leading agro-industrial events. The meeting included Leandro Parissia, President of the Plant-Based Protein Cluster, alongside Pablo Sánchez, who engaged in discussions with national authorities and industry leaders.

Representing the government were Agustín Larralde, Director of Market Planning and Analysis at the Undersecretariat of Agricultural Markets; Agustín Tejeda Rodríguez, undersecretary of Agricultural Markets and International Negotiations; Mercedes Nimo, Cabinet Advisor within the same department. Also attending was Fabricio Orsich, President of the Federation of Grain Collection Centers and Entities (FECEBA).

During the meeting, participants advanced on defining joint action lines for 2026, focusing on strengthening the plant-based protein value chain, promoting exports, developing new markets, and enhancing public-private collaboration.

The meeting highlights the growing strategic importance of plant-based proteins, driven by global trends such as healthier diets, sustainability, and the diversification of protein sources. In this context, Argentina aims to position itself as a key player by leveraging its strong agricultural capacity and scientific ecosystem.

The Cluster emphasized the importance of these dialogue spaces to align public policies with industry needs, encourage investment, and accelerate the development of a sector with significant growth potential in the coming years
